How do Orthotics Work?
There are three arches on each foot, and most people have one foot arch that is more collapsed than the other when comparing arches on the left and right feet. This causes one hip to be higher than the other and one shoulder higher than the other. This creates uneven forces through the joints throughout the body predisposing them to pain and injury. This imbalance between the arches of the left versus right foot also causes certain muscles to work more than others causing muscle pain.
